Jenni Mikkonen is a Finnish textile designer living and working in the village of Fiskars. She combines different textile techniques in her work.

Jenni Mikkonen´s art work are made up of high-quality natural materials such as wool, linen, cotton and sisal. She has created a crochet technique in which she combines different colors and yarn materials to create a surface where colors blend into the next color. Nature and its color combinations are an endless source of inspiration to her.

“For me, crochet and embroidery are the textile techniques I love. When I’m in a process I follow my instinct to create designs that feel balanced. I am very visual, I observe colors and color combinations everywhere I go.”
